Tokuichi Takarada is born into a poor family. Although he has a brilliant mind, he wasn't to go on to high school. So he leads a miserable life while dreaming of one day becoming a tycoon and making a name for himself. He is sent to a juvenile reformatory after being accused of stealing a car. An encounter inside leads Tokuichi to join the yakuza, a society where people with no education or connections can rise to the top on the basis of their abilities alone!
